Theo Kieser has earned a reputation as a sure hand with juveniles over the last twelve months in Singapore.
The up-and-coming trainer is a former assistant to Laurie Laxon and he has been particularly active at Australian yearling sales in recent years. Kieser loaded up at Inglis Melbourne Autumn earlier this week with youngsters by Keep The Faith, Churchill Downs and two by Holy Roman Emperor.
His Keep The Faith colt from Manzie de Lago already has a connection in South East Asia and he changed hands for $31,000. His older half-brother to Coffeeshop Gossip (El Moxie) won four on end at Perak and Penang late last year.
Kieser claimed the 2011 Inglis Juvenile Stakes at Kranji with Kaiser (Seidnazar) and he was straight out of the blocks for the 2012 Golden Horseshoe series winning the first two legs with Griffin (Sequalo) and Zeus Thunder (Enemy Of Average).
Venders experienced a rough ride at Oaklands Junction and that will have Victorian studmasters thinking twice before releasing their service fees for 2012.
Even though the $31,000 return was a pleasing result, Keep The Faith will stand for a readjusted fee of $4,400 (inc gst) at Greta West Stud this year.
Greta West studmaster Laurie McCarthy will stand him alongside King Of Prussia (Anabaa) in 2012. A proven winner-getter, King Of Prussia is priced at $2,750 (inc gst) this year.
