Monday, 14 November 2016

Greta West Stud stallions Godís Own and King of Prussia were back in the spotlight after siring a running double at Moonee Valley on Friday.

Running was the operative word for Godís Own speedball Sirbible.  He clocked a sizzling 54.84s to take the lead after Heat 4 of the Inglis 55 Second Challenge (955m).

ďThatís just a stepping stone for the Christmas Stakes,Ē trainer Russell Bell promised.  ďHe was ready to go and I wasnít worried about any other horse in the race.Ē

Sirbible has set the benchmark for the 55 Second Challenge.  Bell trained at Alice Springs before opening a Colac stable in August and he will receive a $50,000 credit voucher at a 2017 Inglis Sale of his choice if 54.84s isnít bettered this season.

The Listed Christmas Stakes (1200m) is scheduled for Caulfield on Boxing Day Ė Sirbible finished third last year after being reeled in by Tuscan Sling.

King of Prussia miler Entre Nous is set for another successful campaign following his second-up victory in the Strathmore Community Bank Hcp (1600m).  He has earned $263,170 including $38,800 in VOBIS bonuses for a syndicate that includes Wodonga breeder Frank Elkington.

His dam Madam Delia (Demus) has a yearling filly by King of Prussia.

Entre Nous won last seasonís Euroa Cup (1400m) and Wangaratta Cup (1600m) before finishing third in the VOBIS Gold Mile at Caulfield.  He is trained Gerald Egan 50km south of Greta West through the high-country at Mansfield.
