Tuesday treble for Greta West Stud
Wednesday, 19 July 2017

Most Admired made an impressive, front-running debut for owner-breeder Dick Karreman at Geelong on Tuesday.

The Master Of Design gelding showed pace from the gates and kicked away in the straight to score by more than two lengths in the Rosemont Stud Plate (1100m).  "He was comfortable in the lead," jockey Jordan Childs reported.  "He quickened when I asked for an effort and, to his credit, fought on strong."

Most Admired (3g Master Of Design - Cape Tycoon by Cape Cross) is a younger half-brother to Karreman's brilliant, white-faced filly Miss Vista.  "He doesn't look like his sister but has some of her speed," Childs added.  "We won't get ahead of ourselves just yet although he should go through the grades on that win."

Master Of Design stands at Greta West Stud and Tuesday's result kept him on top of the Victorian second-season table with 35 wins ahead of Helmet (34), Moshe (29) & Toorak Toff (24).

His Greta West associates Keep The Faith and King Of Prussia combined for a winning double on Tuesday at Wagga.

Wodonga-based stablemates Flying Cyril (Keep The Faith) and Cha Cha King (King Of Prussia) won for trainer Peter Maher, jockey Nick Heywood and owner-breeder Noel Forrest.  Flying Cyril caused a $31 upset in Race 1 but Cha Cha King was in the market at $5 following a home-town victory last month.

Meanwhile, Master Of Design sired another off-shore winner last week when Tianci Tiger was successful in the Yulong Shanxi Stakes (1200m) in China.  He was a $52,500 buy for Xiong Racing out of the 2015 Inglis Ready2Race Sale.

Tianci Tiger (3g Master of Design - Shazatak by El Moxie) is a half-brother to three winners by Keep The Faith from the family of Flemington stakes performer My Gibreel.

Master Of Design (Redoute's Choice) stands his first-season at Greta West for a $5,500 service fee this season alongside Keep The Faith ($3,300) and King Of Prussia ($2,200).  All fees (inc gst).
